The Communication Initiative
After nearly 28 years, The Communication Initiative (The CI) Global is entering a new chapter. Following a period of transition, the global website has been transferred to the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) in South Africa, where it will be administered by the Social and Behaviour Change Communication Division. Wits' commitment to social change and justice makes it a trusted steward for The CI's legacy and future.
 
Co-founder Victoria Martin is pleased to see this work continue under Wits' leadership. Victoria knows that co-founder Warren Feek (1953–2024) would have felt deep pride in The CI Global's Africa-led direction.
 
We honour the team and partners who sustained The CI for decades. Meanwhile, La Iniciativa de Comunicación (CILA) continues independently at cila.comminitcila.com and is linked with The CI Global site.

What Works? Summit presentations - access information and links

Best wishes. A lot of people have been asking how they can access presentations from the recent What Works? Summit - Shifting Norms. Changing Behaviours, Amplifying Voice April 16-20 2018 in Nusa Dua, Indonesia. With over 300 presentations it has taken a little time to get these organised. Apologies for any frustrations. In the first instance these will appear on the Summit website. Many thanks to everyone who worked to organise these (esp Heather at JHU) and to make them available for your reference and use.

Anyone can now access all of the presentations at this link on the SBCC Summit website

You do not need to create an account to view the schedule and download the presentations (though, if you log in, you will see the information you saved if you used the mobile app).

In order that they are located and accessible as an integral part of a comprehensive platform, network and community for this field of work we will also be incorporating many of these within The Communication Initiative over the next few months - there are lots!
