Grants for Libraries Serving Children and Youth

The Electronic Information for Libraries's Public Library Innovation Programme (EIFL-PLIP) is offering grants for services that support the needs of children and youth. This opportunity is open to public and community libraries in developing and transition economy countries. The aim of the grants is to spark development of services that take an innovative approach. Applicants may submit proposals for up to US$20,000. To apply for a grant, libraries must identify a local need (or needs) of children or youth, and develop a project that:
- is completely new for the library, or for the community;
- uses information and communication technologies in new and creative ways; and
- develops new partnerships, with agencies like government departments, civil society organisations, or technology innovators.
